287. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his views on a matter (details supplied) regarding the GLAS scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2283/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraA database of all commonages is currently being compiled in my Department and is nearing completion. Among the objectives of this process is to bring clarity to the configuration of all commonages in terms of their constituent LPIS parcels, their area and the recorded rights at herdowner level in preparation for the opening of the GLAS programme. It is intended to publish the results of this process very shortly in the form of a comprehensive database which will provide all the key information required for the preparation of GLAS applications, including the items mentioned above. This database will be publicly available on the Department’s website and accessible by all.
