Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding new classrooms and school development for a school (details supplied) in view of the fact that the project has gone through the planning process and the tendering process; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe delivery of the Additional Accommodation Project referred to by the Deputy has been devolved to Mayo, Sligo & Leitrim Education and Training Board (ETB).
As the Deputy is aware tenders have been received and the ETB have sought significant additional funding. To enable my Department’s Planning and Building Unit considered the request for additional funding the ETB have been requested to submit further information.
As soon as this information is received and considered the ETB will be informed of the outcome.
