Vol. 23 No. 11

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLONDALKIN PAPER MILLS.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is in a position to state whether any, and, if so, what steps have been taken to re-open the Clondalkin Paper Mills; whether there is any truth in the report that the machinery is about to be put up for sale; what is the value of the machinery; and what steps, if any, he proposes to take in the matter, with a view to preserving this industry.

The Clondalkin Paper Mills have been bought by an Irish group whose plans depend, I understand, on the result of an application they have made to the Tariff Commission but on which the Commission has not yet reported.
