Having regard to the supply position I can see no prospect of the resumption of Sunday bus services to rural areas during the present summer.
In view of the fact that there have been increased rail services, would the Minister consider permitting restricted bus services from the rural areas—I have my own constituency in mind—to enable persons to visit on Sundays friends in hospital? That is the only day they have available. I refer to rural areas not served by trains.
I should be glad to facilitate the provision of such services but there has been no change in the supply position to permit of any increase in services.
