asked the Minister for the Environment when he proposes to clear the Piltown/Fiddown sewerage scheme, County Kilkenny, so that it can be released to tender.

Having regard to the number of water and sewerage schemes currently in progress and the number of such schemes getting to construction at the present time for which adequate finance must be provided, I regret that I cannot at present say when a decision will be conveyed to the local authority on the contract documents for this scheme or when it may be advertised for tender.
