The number of persons placed in employment by the National Manpower Service over the 12-month period 1 October 1982 to 30 September 1983 was 29,523.
Available statistics do not distinguish between permanent and temporary employment.
The total number of persons registered with the National Manpower Service at 30 September 1983 was 213,324.
