asked the Minister for Labour the number and trades of apprentices who were not placed with an employer on completion of the first year of the AnCO job apprenticeship in the past 12 months; and the number and trades of those entering their first year of the AnCO job apprenticeships.

Information as at 31 October 1983 on the number and trades of apprentices who were not placed in full-time employment with employers on completion of their first year off-the-job apprenticeship course in AnCO Training Centres during the preceding 12 months is as follows:

AnCO are making every effort to assist these apprentices to complete their apprenticeship. Measures taken include placement on educational release courses, special courses, community youth training projects and with employers during which they are financially supported by AnCO.

The number and trades of apprentices on AnCO first year off-the-job apprenticeship courses in AnCO Training Centres at 31 October 1983 are as follows:
