Written Answers. - Local Authority Male-Female Employees.

Ceist:

127 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment the number of male and female (a) city and county managers, (b) assistant managers, (c) county secretaries and (d) finance officers; and if he will give a breakdown of male and female officers employed by Dublin's local authorities.

On the basis of information available in my Department there are 29 city and county managers, 17 assistant managers, 25 county secretaries, and 27 finance officers currently serving in the local authorities, all of whom are male. A breakdown of male and female officers employed by the Dublin local authorities is not available in my Department.

128 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for the Environment the total number of members of local authorities in this country; their average age; the sex and occupation of the members; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The total aggregate membership of local authorities is 1,641. The additional information requested by the Deputy is not available.
