Ceist:

187 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Education if she has received representations from representatives of business teachers from a school (details supplied) in Dublin 12 regarding the examination of business studies in the new junior certificate; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke):

I have received the representations referred to and I am having the matter examined in my Department. I am also arranging for officials of my Department to meet with representatives of the business studies teachers' association to discuss the matter further.
