Vol. 415 No. 9

Written Answers. - Training Opportunities for Disabled.

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

174 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health whether access to training opportunities for those with a disability are confined to persons who are in receipt of DPMA; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Access to training opportunities for those with a disability is not confined to persons in receipt of disabled persons maintenance allowance (DPMA). Persons with disabilities, regardless of the allowance to which they may be entitled, can apply for placement in a specialised rehabilitation centre or with the mainstream training agencies.
