Vol. 453 No. 8

Written Answers. - Kenmare (Kerry) Hospital Extension.

John O'Leary

Ceist:

87 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the proposed extension to Kenmare District Hospital, which is urgently needed. [10075/95]

Limerick East): As the Deputy is aware a number of developments have taken place in Kenmare District Hospital recently. The Southern Health Board are satisfied that full use is being made of the existing facilities at Kenmare District Hospital. The question of the provision of long-stay accomodation in Kenmare will be considered in the context of the Board's development plan for community hospitals which is due to be published later this year.
