The annual fee for board members of ICC Bank is £4,000, a figure which has not been increased since 1992.
In addition, in acknowledgement of the additional work load and onerous responsibilities required of the board in connection with the sale of ICC Bank, I have approved the making of anex gratia payment of £25,000 to each board member who is not retained by the new owners of ICC Bank. The chairman and managing director are not, of course, eligible to receive this payment. Neither is Mr. Considine who, as a serving civil servant, received no additional remuneration in respect of his membership of the board.
