The person named applied on six cows under the 2000 suckler cow premium scheme for small-scale milk suppliers. He declared that the total number of cows, both dairy and suckler, on his holding on the date of application was 17 and that he held a milk quota of 9,032 gallons.
My Department's records show that he in fact held a milk quota of 11,532 gallons. Before determining his payment entitlement it was necessary to establish the notional dairy cows needed to produce the milk quota by dividing the milk quota of 11,532 gallons by 876 gallons as provided under clause 14 of the terms and conditions governing the scheme. This resulted in him requiring 13.16 dairy cows which my Department then subtracted from his total cows leaving a balance of 3.84 suckler cows payable under the 2000 suckler cow premium scheme.
If the person named considers that the record of his milk quota reflects incorrect details he should contact my Department as soon as possible and any new information provided by him will be examined as a matter of urgency.
