Vol. 546 No. 4

Written Answers. - Public-Private Partnerships.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

46 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the extent to which public-private partnerships are to be used to restore, refurbish or protect buildings or sites of a cultural or historic nature; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [31911/01]

While it is my intention to keep under review the scope for developing public-private partnership proposals for protection of buildings or sites of a cultural or historic nature whenever it is appropriate to do so, I advise the Deputy that no public-private partnerships are being proposed at present under the national development plan in respect of the built heritage.

Question No. 47 answered with Question No. 19.
