193 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the progress which has been made in resolving the IMPACT dispute at FDS offices; and if he will personally intervene in the matter for the sake of the farmers waiting on REP scheme payments. [11642/02]
The Labour Relations Commission has agreed to act as a facilitator with a view to resolving the dispute relating to the processing of REP scheme applications in all FDS offices throughout the country. As a result of this the industrial action being taken by the IMPACT members was suspended with effect from this morning and the processing of all REP scheme applications has recommenced.
