The Ceann Comhairle, Verona Murphy TD, joined members of the Parliamentary Research Service to launch Research Matters - Key Issues for the 34th Dáil and 27th Seanad
Research Matters has been compiled by expert researchers from the Parliamentary Research Service in the Houses of the Oireachtas Library and Research Service as a collection of articles about topics that Members will likely be grappling with over the coming years.
The curated collection of 17 articles compiled by expert researchers covers subjects across agricultural and environmental science, economics, social science and law. Each article identifies ways in which Members, as legislators and parliamentarians, can engage meaningfully with the issues outlined.
Launch of Research Matters by the Parliamentary Research Service
The Ceann Comhairle, Deputy Verona Murphy, spoke to the gathered audience members in the Library Reading Room in Leinster House about the articles that are available in a range of digital configurations and printed as a collection.
The Parliamentary Research Service team provided lightening presentations on the articles and Madelaine Dennison, Head of Library and Research, spoke at the presentation.
