Joint Committee on Climate Action to meet with Chairpersons designate of SEAI and ESB

The Joint Committee on Climate Action will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 9 February with the Chairpersons designate of the SEAI and ESB.

The meeting at 1pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House will hear first from Dermot Byrne, Chairperson designate of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

This will be followed by an engagement with Terence O'Rourke, Chairperson designate of the Electricity Supply Board (ESB).

Committee Chairman Brian Leddin TD said: “Dáil standing orders allow Joint Committees to invite the Chairperson designate of a statutory agency, prior to their appointment, before the Committee to discuss their strategic priorities for the role. Members look forward to engaging with Mr Byrne and Mr O’Rourke to discuss their approach to the role of Chairperson and their vision for the SEAI and ESB respectively.”
