Ceist:

120 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice if she will expedite the issue of a map for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that all details as requested have been submitted for at least two weeks and the delay is causing financial hardship. [23420/96]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that there is no application for a copy map currently pending on this folio. However, there are three dealings associated on the folio. The dealing referred to by the Deputy is an application for transfer of part on sale which was lodged on 28 February 1995. As the Deputy will be aware from my answer to his recent question on this case, the dealing could not proceed in the absence of a satisfactory response to queries issued to the lodging solicitors.

Replies dated 6 November have now been received and further queries issued on 26 November 1996 to which replies are awaited. The position still remains that the dealing cannot proceed until the queries raised have been satisfactorily discharged and it is not possible to estimate a completion time at this stage. However, I can confirm that on receipt of replies to the queries issued, the matter will be expedited by the Land Registry.
