The Oireachtas Library is marking World Health Day on 7 April with a display of historical documents.
On show is the First Report of the General Board of Health in Ireland in 1822.
The General Board of Health was established in 1820 by the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Charles Talbot, in response to crop failures and a typhus epidemic in Ireland.
The report is part of the Oireachtas Library’s historical Dublin Castle Collection.
