The Committee on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution has received the report and recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly and will meet in private today.
At the meeting, the committee will commence the preparatory work that is necessary in order to engage with each recommendation. Public hearings are expected to begin shortly after the Dáil and Seanad reconvene after the summer recess.
