The Oireachtas Select Committee on Budgetary Oversight has published its recommendations for the 2018 budget.
The recommendations are based on the committee’s pre-budget scrutiny which included a desktop review of budget-related material and meetings with national stakeholders, including two meetings with the Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform. The committee also received briefings from the Parliamentary Budget Office.
The committee aims to enhance Oireachtas engagement with the budgetary process.
