The Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) has released its 100th publication.
The PBO was established in 2017 to provide financial and budgetary intelligence for Members of the Oireachtas. The PBO is an important source of impartial information, analysis and advice, particularly to those members who serve on the Committee on Budgetary Oversight as it conducts ex-ante scrutiny of all budgetary matters.
The need for the office was identified by the OECD in its review of budget oversight by the Irish Parliament.
