The Ceann Comhairle and a parliamentary delegation have carried out official visits to Georgia and Lithuania.
The Ceann Comhairle, Seán Ó Fearghaíl, and his delegation began with an official visit to Georgia.
He attended a wreath laying ceremony at the Deceased Heroes for the Territorial Integrity of Georgia memorial in Heroes Square before meeting Mr. Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia. He later met the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Garibashvili, and the President of Georgia, Ms. Salome Zourrabixhvili.

An Irish parliamentary delegation led by the Ceann Comhairle also made an official visit to Lithuania. The delegation was welcomed to Seimas Palace by Ms Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, and the Ceann Comhairle and delegation also met the President of Lithuania, Mr. Gitanas Nausėda.
