Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action to resume discussions on ‘Energy – Ambition and Challenges’

The Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 8 March to resume discussions with stakeholders on ‘Energy – Ambition and Challenges’.

The meeting at 10am in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House will be split into two sessions.

  • 10am-11am – Representatives from Marine Renewables Industry Association.
  • 11am-12.15pm – Officials from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage; Dept of Environment, Climate and Communications; Dept of Enterprise, Trade and Employment; and Dept of Finance.

The Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action, chaired by Deputy Brian Leddin, has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.

From the 12.30pm to 2pm, the Select Committee, made up of members of the Dáil only, will meet to consider the 2022 Supplementary Estimates for Public Services with the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications; and Transport, Eamon Ryan TD.
