Health Committee to discuss medical card application process with Minister and HSE

21 Márta 2012, 16:30

The Medical Card application process and the impact of early retirement on the health sector will be among the issues to be raised by the Joint Committee on Health and Children tomorrow, Thursday, 22nd March, when it meets with the Minister for Health James Reilly TD and Cathal Magee, chief executive of the Health Service Executive (HSE).

Committee Chairman, Jerry Buttimer TD said: “Tomorrow, the Committee will continue with its important remit of observing and examining the work and roles of the Department and the HSE when we will question the Minister and the HSE chief executive. It will provide members of the Committee with an opportunity to directly question those charged with running the country’s health and childcare services and to raise issues or concerns they may have in a number of areas.”

The meeting takes place tomorrow, Thursday, 22nd March, at 11.30am in Committee Room 2, LH 2000. Committee proceedings can be followed live here.
