Health Committee calls for yes vote in Children’s Referendum

18 DFómh 2012, 12:24

The Committee on Health and Children has unanimously called for a yes vote in the forthcoming Children’s Referendum.

Committee Chairman Jerry Buttimer TD said: “At our meeting today, all parties and independent members were united in endorsing a yes vote.

The referendum is an opportunity to offer a second chance of family life to those children who need it. This referendum is about putting children at the centre, recognising their rights and giving them a voice and protection.

This is a very important plebiscite and I would encourage all members of the Committee to campaign for a yes vote and to make sure that all adult citizens vote.”
