The Ceann Comhairle and Chairperson of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission, Seán Barrett TD will launch the Houses of the Oireachtas Communications Strategy at 12.45 p.m. on Thursday 15 November 2012 in the AV Room, Leinster House.
This strategy entitled “Increasing understanding and improving public perception of the Houses of the Oireachtas” seeks to create a platform from which a comprehensive public communications service can be provided.
Speaking in advance of the launch, Ceann Comhairle Seán Barrett TD said “ This strategy builds on the achievements of our previous plans and provides a clear direction for our communications activities for 2012-2014. The relationship between parliament and the public we serve is an integral part of this strategy and it sets out how we intend to interact with that public over the next two years”.
