Committee to consider Revised Estimates for Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine

2 Iúil 2013, 10:09

Minister Simon Coveney TD will this afternoon attend a meeting of the Select Committee on Committee on Agriculture, Food and Marine.

2 July 2013

The meeting will allow Committee Members to question the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine on the total expenditure and the priority areas for his Department.

Select Committee Chairman Andrew Doyle TD says: “This afternoon’s meeting should reflect efforts being made to strengthen the role of Dáil Committees in holding Ministers and their Departments to account for the proposed allocation of public funds. Minister Coveney's presence at tomorrow’s meeting allows the Committee to consider the 2013 Revised Estimates for Public Services for his Department, along with the outcomes and effectiveness of the expenditure concerned.  These estimates outline the overall proposed expenditure by the Department and give information on the various programmes and schemes on which the money will be spent.”

The meeting takes place this afternoon Tuesday 2 July June 2012 at 2 pm in Committee Room 3 LH 2000.

Committee proceedings can be followed live online via this link.
