It was with great sadness I heard of the passing of Nicky McFadden, TD.
I had the honour of knowing Nicky McFadden for many years in political life and was pleased when she attained her goal of being elected to Dáil Éireann.
A true and genuine representative, Nicky was committed to public service and served her constituents with integrity and dedication. She bore her illness with courage and dignity while also carrying out her parliamentary duties.
I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to her family, friends, colleagues and constituents.
My thoughts are with them at this very sad time.
