Health Committee receives HSE report on Section 38 Agencies

The Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children today, Monday, 14th April 2014 received a report from the Health Service Executive on Section 38 Agencies.

Committee Chairman, Jerry Buttimer TD said: “The HSE Report of the Internal Review Panel into Business Cases received from Section 38 Agencies to reach compliance with Government Pay Policy was forwarded to the Committee today. The HSE has told a number of hospitals and groups to cease top-up payments to more than 130 people. A period of up to three months to 1st July 2014 has been set to allow time for agencies to make the necessary arrangements to cease the payment of all unapproved remuneration. The Committee will discuss the report in its private session on Thursday.”
