The Committee Stage of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Bill 2014 will be on the agenda of the Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality tomorrow, Wednesday, 30th April 2014 with Minister for Justice and Equality Alan Shatter in attendance.
Committee Chairman David Stanton, TD, said: “The Bill proposes to merge the Equality Authority and the Human Rights Commission to form the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission. Tomorrow, the Committee will have the opportunity to discuss proposed changes as set out in the legislation as published.”
