Secretary General at the Department of Justice and Equality, Brian Purcell, will appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality tomorrow, Wednesday, 28th May 2014 to discuss the findings of the Guerin Report.
Committee Chairman David Stanton TD said: “In particular, the Committee would like to address the issues raised in Chapter 19 of the Report entitled ‘Report on a review of the action taken by an Garda Síochána pertaining to certain allegations made by Sergeant Maurice McCabe by Seán Guerin SC dated 6 May 2014’. However, our discussion may also include matters referred to in Chapters 1, 2 3 and 20 of this Report.”
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 28th May 2014 at 5pm in Committee Room 2, LH2000, Leinster House, Dublin 2.
