8 Iúil 2014, 17:02

Ministers of State John Perry TD and Fergus O’Dowd TD will attend the Sub Committee on Finance tomorrow, Wednesday, 9th July 2014 for the committee stage of the Betting (Amendment) Bill 2013

Committee Vice Chairman Liam Twomey TD said: “The Bill is designed to provide a regulatory system for remote bookmakers and betting intermediaries, otherwise known as betting exchanges, offering betting services in Ireland regardless of their location. In addition, it provides for a fair and equal treatment of all bookmakers - both traditional and remote - and betting exchanges offering services in Ireland. Tomorrow, the Committee will have the opportunity to discuss proposed changes as set out in the legislation as published.”

This meeting will start at 6pm on Wednesday, 9th July 2014 in Committee Room 4, Leinster House 2000.
