Tyndall undertakes internationally-leading research addressing key challenges in the areas of communications, energy, health and the environment.

“Tyndall National Institute is one of seven research centres funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI). The purpose of our visit on Monday is to give Committee members a clear understanding of Science Foundation Ireland and the impact it has on research, innovation and job creation in Ireland.

“It’s an opportunity for us to gain a greater understanding of, and insight into, the scale, quality and value of the innovative work being undertaken at SFI’s research centres around the country and in SFI collaborations with universities and industry.
