Chairman of the Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality David Stanton TD has noted the publication of the review of the Department of Justice today, Monday, 28th July 2014.
Committee Chairman David Stanton TD said: “As Chairman of the Joint Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality, I would like to note today’s publication of the review of the Department of Justice. The Department plays a very important role in the administration of justice and security in this State. However, this review has found a number of serious problems and issues in relation to the administration of the Department. The Committee will take some time to study the report and consider its findings and recommendations in detail and I will be proposing that the committee meets at an early date to consider the report.”
