PAC to launch reports on penalty points and medical cards

1 DFómh 2014, 15:08

Committee to also publish composite report on Land Swaps, State Pathology building, National Gallery and WIT

1 October 2014

You are invited to attend, or send a representative, to the launch by Committee of Public Accounts of three separate reports tomorrow afternoon.

The Committee will launch separate reports in its investigation into the issuing of penalty points and medical card review. It will also publish a composite report on the four meetings it held in relation to:

  •     Land Swap Arrangement in the Provision of Affordable Housing
  •     State Pathology Building Project
  •     Appointment of Director at National Gallery of Ireland
  •     Lapses in controls at Waterford Institute of Technology

These three important reports reflect many of the key items on the Committee’s work programme in 2014. Following an introduction into each report, PAC Chairman John McGuinness TD and other PAC Members will be available for questions. The running order for the event will be as listed above, with the report on penalty points the first to be introduced and followed by Q&A. The second report on medical cards will then be discussed, with the Composite Report the final agenda item of the event.
