Finance Committee to meet Central Bank Governor Patrick Honohan as part of banking sector overview

The Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform will resume its hearing on the overview of the banking sector tomorrow, Wednesday, 26th November 2014 when it meets with Patrick Honohan, Governor, Central Bank of Ireland.

Committee Chairman Dr Liam Twomey TD said: “Tomorrow we will resume our hearings as part of our overview of the banking sector when we meet with Central Bank Governor Patrick Honohan. Among the issues members will be keen to address are the current banking environment following the stress tests, banking union, the impact of EU banking legislation, commercial lending and mortgage related matters, in particular the proposed Central Bank rules relating to mortgage deposits.”

This meeting will start at 2pm on Wednesday, 26th November 2014 in Committee Room 4.
