Ceann Comhairle, Seán Barrett TD will turn on the Oireachtas Christmas Tree lights at 5:15 pm on Tuesday 2 December 2014. Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann, Senator Paddy Burke, the Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, Tánaiste Joan Burton TD, opposition party leaders and other Members of the Oireachtas will be in attendance.

Time: Approximately 5:15 pm (following the Order of Business)
Music and song will be provided by children from the Holy Family primary school in Derry, and by the Oireachtas Choir. The Derry choir won the 2014 Barnardo's Youth Choir of the Year in London earlier this year and have also performed in the Northern Ireland Assembly, Westminster and the Royal Albert Hall.
