The Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine today met with the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD, to engage in a mid-year review of budgetary estimates.
30th September 2015
Speaking after the meeting the Chairman, Andrew Doyle TD, said “This was a productive meeting which allowed for the Committee to give consideration to the Department’s performance for the year-to-date while also providing us with an opportunity to hear from the Minister on his plans in a number of key strategic areas.”
“The Department has an annual expenditure of over €8.5 billion and so this process afforded the Joint Committee an important opportunity to meet with Minister Coveney and conduct this mid-year review.”
The Joint Committee will reconvene again on Tuesday, 6th October, at 2pm in Committee Room 3.
