Oireachtas TV will premiere an hour long documentary, 'Leinster House - Seat of Power', hosted by John Bowman, on Monday, October 10th at 8pm. Specially commissioned by Oireachtas TV, it explores the central role that Leinster House has played, both in the formation of the State and Parliament, but also as an independent seat of power, over the past two centuries.

This showing comes at an exciting time for Oireachtas TV. On Tuesday Oct 11th, the Government will announce Budget 2017 in the Dáil Chamber, and Oireachtas TV will be live on air from 11.30am. The Pre-Budget special will be hosted by Flor MacCarthy and Juliette Gash, with a panel of academics and journalists, to provide analysis of the budgetary process and opinion from Members themselves on the day’s proceedings.
Oireachtas TV will also be providing live close captioned subtitles of the Budget Speech, for the first time, available on teletext page 888.
