PAC to continue Project Eagle hearings when it meets NAMA officials

The Public Accounts Committee will resume its hearings on the Comptroller and Auditor General’s report on the National Asset Management Agency’s sale of Project Eagle, tomorrow, Tuesday, 25 October 2016 when it meets with NAMA officials.

Appearing before the Committee tomorrow are: John Collison, Deputy Head of Asset Recovery at time of project Eagle; Michael Moriarty now Current Head of Asset Recovery, NAMA; Alan Stewart, Senior Divisional Solicitor; and former NAMA Official Donal Rooney, Former Chief Financial Officer.

Committee Chairman Seán Fleming said: “The Committee is continuing to examine the sale of NAMA’s Northern loanbook or Project Eagle which has been a source of considerable controversy following the findings the C&AG report. Tomorrow, we will continue our series of meetings on the report. It will be an opportunity for Members to put relevant questions to the senior NAMA officials with first-hand knowledge of Project Eagle and discuss with them their roles into all aspects of the sale of the Northern Ireland loanbook.”

This meeting will start in Committee Room 3 at 10am tomorrow, Tuesday, 25 October 2016. Committee proceedings can be viewed live here.
