NAMA to face questioning from PAC on its loan sales and housing delivery

19 MFómh 2018, 15:49

Representatives of NAMA will be before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) tomorrow, 20th September, to discuss their annual financial statements and the C&AG Special Report 102 – National Asset Management Agency Second Progress Report, which was published in July 2018.

Speaking today, PAC Chairman, Seán Fleming TD, said, “The C&AG's second progress report focuses on progress made by NAMA on the achievement of the agency’s principal objectives. NAMA has repaid the €30.2 billion senior debt, but it has a number of other significant objectives that remain to be met.”

“One of NAMA’s objectives is to facilitate the delivery of housing from sites controlled by their debtors and receivers. With the country still dealing with a serious housing shortage, PAC members will question NAMA on efforts to date on delivering new housing at a faster pace.”

The meeting will start at 9am in Committee Room 3, Leinster House.
