Employment Affairs and Social Protection Committee to consider Welfare, Pensions & Civil Registration Bill 2018

Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection Regina Doherty will discuss the Bill with the Committee.

The Bill proposes to enact various measures contained in Budget 2019, including increases in certain weekly rates of pensions, benefits and allowances. It also would amend the Pensions Acts to provide a right of entitlement, in some circumstances, to spousal pension benefits for same-sex spouses and civil partners who are members of occupational pension schemes.
