The Committee on Budgetary Oversight will discuss IFAC’s report on Budget 2019, control of health expenditure and the potential budgetary implications of Brexit with Finance Minister Paschal Donohue on Wednesday, Jan. 16.
The meeting in Committee Room 4 begins at 3 p.m. It can be viewed live here.
The Committee met Irish Fiscal Advisory Council members on Dec. 5 to discuss the independent body’s Fiscal Assessment Report. It recommended a stronger focus on achieving budget surpluses, citing Ireland’s reliance on cyclical sources of revenue and looming uncertainties, particularly Brexit.
