The Joint Committee on Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow with representatives from the Insurance Industry due before the Committee.
Thursday’s meeting will see difficulties in relation to insurance raised when the following organisations appear; AIG Insurance, Aviva Insurance and Zurich Insurance.
In addition, representatives from Health Stores Ireland will appear to discuss the application of VAT to certain food supplements.
In advance of this meeting, Committee Chairman John McGuinness TD said: “At our meeting, the Committee will hear from AIG Insurance, Aviva Insurance and Zurich Insurance, and explore issues such as the cost of insurance. This is part of our ongoing engagement with the insurance sector on a range of matters.”
