The Joint Committee on Employment Affairs and Social Protection will meet tomorrow (Thursday) at 10am in Committee Room 4, Leinster House to resume discussions on bogus self-employment.
The Committee will hear from Martin McMahon, a commentator and activist who has written extensively on bogus self-employment and campaigned for changes in legislation to outlaw the practice.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Chairman John Curran TD said: “This is our sixth engagement since last November when the Committee began examining bogus self-employment in our economy. We have heard from the Department, unions, employers and academics and look forward to hearing Mr McMahon’s views.”
The meeting in Committee Room 4 can be viewed live here.
Committee proceedings can also be viewed on the move, through the Houses of the Oireachtas Smartphone App, available for Apple and Android devices.
