5 Samh 2019, 14:09

The Joint Committee on Transport, Tourism & Sport will meet tomorrow, Wednesday with representatives from the National Transport Authority due before the Committee.

The meeting in Committee Room 4 at 2pm, Leinster House will discuss the National Transport Authority’s programme to improve bus services across the Dublin region.

Joint Committee Vice-Chair Kevin O'Keeffe TD said: “It is clear that Dublin and the broader region is growing and faces transport challenges, and an integrated bus network that works for a developing city is required.

“Ultimately, BusConnects aim is to deliver an enhanced bus system that is better for the city, its people and the environment. BusConnects is designed to provide a better more reliable and more efficient bus service for everyone.

“The impact of BusConnects on communities and commuters, and the process of its introduction is something which members will be eager to discuss with representatives from the NTA”, added Deputy O'Keeffe.
