5 Samh 2019, 13:48

Tusla – the Child and Family Agency’s new chief executive officer, Bernard Gloster, will appear before the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Children and Youth Affairs tomorrow, Wednesday, 6 November, in Leinster House, Committee Room 1 at 10am.

Mr. Gloster was appointed to the role in June and took up the position in September.

Speaking before the meeting, chairman of the Joint Committee, Alan Farrell T.D. said: “We congratule Mr. Gloster on his new and important role as chief executive officer of the dedicated State agency responsible for improving the well-being of and outcomes for children.

“This is our first opportunity to hear from Mr. Gloster and to question him on his strategy for Tusla over the next five years. We are also expecting an update from Tusla representatives on issues regarding child care facilities in the preschool sector, following the shocking child care practices exposed in an RTÉ Investigates programme broadcast during the summer.”
