4 Beal 2021, 13:14

The Joint Committee on European Union Affairs will discuss the EU/UK Trade Agreement with Barry Andrews MEP at a meeting in Leinster House tomorrow, Wednesday, 5 May at 9.30am.

Mr Andrews is a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade (INTA) which was one of the lead committees managing the Parliament’s ratification of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA).

Cathaoirleach of the Committee Joe McHugh TD said: “The Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and the UK was ratified by the European Parliament last week. The Parliament also passed a separate Resolution relating to the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland.

“The Committee welcomes this engagement with Barry Andrews MEP to discuss the Agreement and get more details and information on the newly adopted Resolution which calls for an ‘ongoing and enhanced dialogue’ between the European Parliament and Northern Ireland representatives.”

The meeting will take place virtually from Committee Room 4. Watch the meeting live.
