Joint Committee on Public Petitions to resume consideration of petitions regarding unauthorised development on River Shannon

The Joint Committee on Public Petitions will meet tomorrow, Thursday, 3 February, to resume consideration of two petitions regarding unauthorised development on the River Shannon.

The meeting at 1.30pm in Committee Room 4 of Leinster House will hear from representatives of Waterways Ireland and Westmeath County Council regarding Public Petition Numbers P00009/21 “Unauthorised Development” from Mr Michael Barrett and P00023/21 “Unauthorised Development on the River Shannon” from Mr Jamie Forde Kelly.

The Committee will also consideration a number of other petitions.

The Joint Committee on Public Petitions, chaired by Deputy Martin Browne, is a standing Committee of the Houses of the Oireachtas and has 11 Members, seven from the Dáil and four from the Seanad.

The meeting in the Committee Room 4 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.
